This is a Relatively New company “ENCOUNTER” - Powder Blue - 50/50 Blend of Beaver and Rabbit Fedora - Perfect Size 7-1/4. That Beautiful Fedora is just a great example of what a Hat Maker can do, even TODAY! We added pictures towards the end of the Actual Encounter Website pictures, take a minute to visit their website to get even more details. They not only make great hats but they are also avaiable for personal fittings too! There is only one other hatter that we know of that still does that and that is OPTIMO hats in Chicago. There are probably others but that’s the only one we have gone to that still performs personal fittings. These are still being sold at Encounter for. So this is quite a bargin! Because of the 50/50 Beaver/Rabbit material it takes minutes to steam shape this! We started with an Open Crown and decided that the Fedora was a very nice look but this can easily be shaped into many different styles and shapes! Reshaping into a Cattleman style will only take minutes to do! So write to us after you buy the hat and write to us if you’d like it reshaped. Also the brim was a FLAT brim but we steamed in that dip in the front. Again if you’d like this returned to a Flat brim just write to us after you buy it. And as always before we ship it we will send you pictures for your approval! This could use a better cleaning that we did! Dad only uses a Horsehair Brush but some of that built of dust and smudges did not come out. One of Dad’s hat buyers continues to write to ask him to buy and use those Orange Cleaning Sponges but Dad refuses to change his ways after 45+ years of working hats. Dad believes it’s trying to hide something. So we don’t know how well the Orange Cleaning Sponges work or if they will completely clean this up? We filled the picture gallery so you can see every detail! We NEVER hide anything! So please look at all pictures and ask any questions before buying the hat. Just a Great everyday classic fedora. We DO NOT Crush hats into a to small box.mwe always want it to arrive just as it’s pictured! We don’t do all that work steam shaping a hat to have it arrive distorted! We saw the size tag but when we actually measured it it measures to a perfect 7-1/4 at 22 3/4 inches. We measure each hat 3 times to verify its true size. Again we know the tag size states 7-3/8 but it’s NOT Measuring to a 7-3/8! See picture. We also use another methods besides that metal hat sizer to measure each hat we list! The hat pin is a cowboy riding a horse and appears to be roping something? A Barrel maybe? See picture. Brim 2.75 inches Feather is still in ok condition and is easily removable. No smoking or Pets Thank you for looking NOTE: when we ship Dad’s hats out we use strong shipping boxes and each hat we ship is FULLY INSURED and we are no longer going to handle broken box insurance claims. We discovered that one buyer crushed their shipping box and asked for a hefty partial refund. The shipper sent us a picture of the box sitting at the front door and it was NOT CRUSHED? We also discovered that because we were NOT in possession of the box it was impossible for us to file the claim. So now and in the future all claims will be handled by the buyer of the hat or item we ship. Again we ALWAYS carefully pack each hat so it will not be crushed in a good strong shipping box. There are always some Bad Apples around who make everyone’s life impossible! It not fair to the rest of the GOOD FOLKS but it’s a fact of life these days!
