Rare veste enveloppante style kimono / veste fumeur Valentino années 60 noir S/M

Vintage 1960s Valentino kimono or smoking jacket-style sash-close jacket. No fabric or size label but it fits approximately like a contemporary US S or M (the sash wrap closure provides some flexibility). The exterior fabric feels to me like it’s probably a cashmere wool blend. The body of the jacket as well as the front pockets are both lined in a silky material. Note that this is a 1960s piece, and consistent with the era, the sleeves are slightly cropped, and the wrap is meant to fit somewhat mod-style, not fully overlapping across your body (so if you wanted to wear this as a more modern style wrap, it would be better for an XS/S). On me, the sleeves hit just below bracelet length between the drop style of the shoulder and the length of the sleeve itself. Pilling and fuzziness throughout the exterior, but great condition for its age, and Valentino pieces from their earliest years rare extremely rare. Gorgeous on. See photos for details.
