Optimo Hats Chicago - Brown -Beaver- Wide Brim Fedora - Beaver - size 7-1/4. This looks PRISTINE! We said this was “Pre-Owned” but this has NO signs of ever being worn! It appears Pristine! The leather sweatband is Perfect with no signs of wear! No MOTH BITES OR STAINS! Grosgain Ribbon is secured to the fedora and No stains! Liner is securely attached and has NO signs of ever being worn either! So this is just to Beautiful to have NEVER been worn. If worn than less than a handful of times we’d be very surprised! This has been well cared for! This has the original OPTIMO hat box that is also in Pristine condition! We added pictures towards the end so you can see it. And yes there is a 58 printed on it, that’s the size 7-1/4 or 58. Also written was “Beaver”. It did not state anything else. This is just extremely soft, thick and pliable! We were told that OPTIMO makes their hats from Beaver/Rabbit mix (50/50) and Pure Beaver. Does anybody out there know if they make their hats from any other material? Are all their Beaver hats Pure Beaver? Please write to us with any helpful information. When we were there and saw the old true vintage wooden hat measurement tool we were completely overwhelmed! That device is just NOT made anymore and hasn’t been made since Top Hats were the Hat to wear! What a One of a Mind Hat Shop! Their current sales prices are very high! Luxuriously soft and malleable! NOTE: when we ship Dad’s hats out we use strong shipping boxes and each hat we ship is FULLY INSURED and we are no longer going to handle broken box insurance claims. We discovered that one buyer crushed their shipping box and asked for a hefty partial refund. The shipper sent us a picture of the box sitting at the front door and it was NOT CRUSHED? We also discovered that because we were NOT in possession of the box it was impossible for us to file the claim. So now and in the future all claims will be handled by the buyer of the hat or item we ship. Again we ALWAYS carefully pack each hat so it will not be crushed in a good strong shipping box. There are always some Bad Apples around who make everyone’s life impossible! It not fair to the rest of the GOOD FOLKS but it’s a fact of life these days!
