For sale is a 10k yellow gold US Naval Aviator insignia ring. This rare vintage ring is hard to find. This signet style ring features burnished yellow gold with a domed oval top. In the center is the Navy aviation symbol, the "fouled anchor." The original all-gold badge was designed by John H. Towers c. 1917, and consists of a single fouled anchor, surmounted by a shield with 13 stripes, centered on a pair of wings.
The outer rim of the ring bears the words "United States Armed Forces" in raised gold with a textured background. The ring is a classic, and a perfect gift for a veteran, a friend or family member in Naval aviation or for someone who has a loved one in the service. The ring is an elegant style that can be worn beautifully by a man or a woman.
The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
